Another Year, Another Fathers Day

A year has gone and another year has come since I had my first father's Day. As I look back, time seems to be flying by so quickly. Since last father's day when they were 4 months old, I can't believe today that they have started pointing at what they want instead of crying, they want to go wherever I want to go, they run to the door whenever I am coming home from wherever I went (they listen to the keys at the door - they really have acute listening). They seem to show up before their favourite part of a movie comes on and then disappear to the other room after the part ends.
Fathers day is approaching quickly and I am not sure if I am prepared for it. Maybe because I am not looking forward to it, or I don't know the reason why it was started. But one thing is for certain, I don't wan't anything but a normal day like the rest of the year.
And when I look at their faces smiling at me, you can't resist when they are giving me something from my own office desk, or a soccer ball to my feet so I can play with them. Or pose for a photo. ---->
Either way the day is going to come and go without a meaning for me but another day of recruiting. Everyday must be father's day and mothers day because of the special things they sacrificed for us to grow up. Not one day to commemorate and show the love and the rest of the year go our way and not listen to them or misbehave.
Regardless of my "unparticipation" of this, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL FATHERS. Hold on to those little ones.

Hi Dalitso! We miss you, ShaRhonda and your beautiful girls! It is so nice to see photos of them. . .they have grown so! Please send our love to ShaRhonda. As to your post, could part of your lack of enthusiasm for Father's Day be 1) it falls on the Lord's Day and 2) that every day is special as a father and 3) that as children we should be thankful and remember to honor our fathers every day? Whatever the case, I pray the Lord's blessings for your and that He would give you wisdom to raise these little ones in His ways to His glory. With love, in Christ, Jan from Grace Church, Modesto

We miss you too. I will definitely send the love to her. I think you have covered all the angles as to when to celebrate Father's Day. Everyday should be Father's and Mother's Day because of what they do every single day to make sure we have things we have when growing up and most importantly gave us life. As the scripture says:
Exodus 20:12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you" Deuteronomy 5:16; Ephesians 6:2; Proverbs 20:20.
All those verses points towards honoring parents not one day. What is the point of honoring parents one day when all the other days you disobey them?

Home Made Baby Food

Image via Wikipedia Not until recently have I decided to start looking at the food that I buy for my children. For some time I have been observing and keeping track of what is added in the food for the babies ranging from green beans and to canned sweet potatoes. While looking at the ingredients for the bottled food for the babies, I was also comparing the prices of the food with other different brands. I also compared the prices of all the different brands with making the food from scratch. After all the investigation, I have discovered that it is easy to make the baby food. It is also cheaper and safe to make your own baby food rather than buying. The Food You Crave: Luscious Recipes for a Healthy Life After an extensive research (exegeration but some time of research) and comparison on baby food products, I started making my own baby food. I make sweet potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes, carrots, mixes vegetables and many more. It is simple to make. In order to make any of...

First walk, more to come

I woke up this morning to a cool breezy sunny weather, I don't know if that can be used in one sentence, and not to mention the talking of my twin babies. I open my eyes only to see her on my stomach looking in my face with a shirt saying "daddy's little alarm clock." Indeed it she was the alarm clock screaming on top of her lungs for me to wake up, she wasn't crying but loud enough to wake someone up. This brought back the memories when they were just born, I was waking up in the middle of the night to feed them, change the diaper - YES I said it, change diaper - and also hold them both in my hands and put them to sleep. All that hasn't changed that much only most of the times they go to sleep on their on - they are big girls at 5 months. After feeding them, I decided to tale them for their their first walk in the trails. As I was walking through the trails, they were quiet all the way looking around, seems aware of what is going on. Looking at the oncoming ...
