Worrying

There are many things that worry everyone as human beings. For me, I have always thought that worrying is not going to solve anything and leads to so many ills of the body and mind. I have learned to live because of the promise in Matthew 6:24-34. When we worry, it's like carrying a heavy load on the head or wearing a York around the neck.
I have worried sometimes and forgot that I was promised that God will take care of tomorrow when it comes before me. But I never seized to pray and realised that he took care of me in the past and he will take care of me in the future.
Look at the fingers - trying to show 2 years
On February 13th, the twins were baptised and we made the promise that we will guide them in the right path of Jesus Christ. We did not make this promise alone, the Church members were also witnesses and made that promise to guide them. 2 days later, they turned 2years old.
Though the we made the promise, questions lingered in my head on how we are going to do that. How are we going to know that we are leading them in the right direction? these questions and many. But I quickly remembered of the promise and the consequences of worrying, Proverbs 12:25. I have learned to lean and leave it all in the hands of God, that he will give the wisdom to raise them and and teach them to seek the kingdom of God first and and have faith in him alone to provide all things.
Now that the girls are growing up, I pray and hope that they grow up in trusting the Lord and not to worry as it wears down the heart, shows our lack of faith in our efforts to pray. I believe worrying is absolutely contrary to faith as Christians. We can not put our faith in Christ and turn around and worry. This shows how little faith we have in Christ. Instead of worrying, why not kneel down and pray and God will find a way to provide. Find a solution to our problems as he gave us minds to think and get out of situations. Never underestimate the power of God's promise.

Home Made Baby Food

Image via Wikipedia Not until recently have I decided to start looking at the food that I buy for my children. For some time I have been observing and keeping track of what is added in the food for the babies ranging from green beans and to canned sweet potatoes. While looking at the ingredients for the bottled food for the babies, I was also comparing the prices of the food with other different brands. I also compared the prices of all the different brands with making the food from scratch. After all the investigation, I have discovered that it is easy to make the baby food. It is also cheaper and safe to make your own baby food rather than buying. The Food You Crave: Luscious Recipes for a Healthy Life After an extensive research (exegeration but some time of research) and comparison on baby food products, I started making my own baby food. I make sweet potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes, carrots, mixes vegetables and many more. It is simple to make. In order to make any of...

First walk, more to come

I woke up this morning to a cool breezy sunny weather, I don't know if that can be used in one sentence, and not to mention the talking of my twin babies. I open my eyes only to see her on my stomach looking in my face with a shirt saying "daddy's little alarm clock." Indeed it she was the alarm clock screaming on top of her lungs for me to wake up, she wasn't crying but loud enough to wake someone up. This brought back the memories when they were just born, I was waking up in the middle of the night to feed them, change the diaper - YES I said it, change diaper - and also hold them both in my hands and put them to sleep. All that hasn't changed that much only most of the times they go to sleep on their on - they are big girls at 5 months. After feeding them, I decided to tale them for their their first walk in the trails. As I was walking through the trails, they were quiet all the way looking around, seems aware of what is going on. Looking at the oncoming ...

Another Year, Another Fathers Day

A year has gone and another year has come since I had my first father's Day. As I look back, time seems to be flying by so quickly. Since last father's day when they were 4 months old, I can't believe today that they have started pointing at what they want instead of crying, they want to go wherever I want to go, they run to the door whenever I am coming home from wherever I went (they listen to the keys at the door - they really have acute listening). They seem to show up before their favourite part of a movie comes on and then disappear to the other room after the part ends. Fathers day is approaching quickly and I am not sure if I am prepared for it. Maybe because I am not looking forward to it, or I don't know the reason why it was started. But one thing is for certain, I don't wan't anything but a normal day like the rest of the year. And when I look at their faces smiling at me, you can't resist when they are giving me something from my own office de...
